Height Adjustable Desk

The height adjustable desk, also known as a sit / stand desk, has become extremely popular in the last 15 years due to its flexibility in adjusting to the user’s individual physical requirements and ergonomic needs.

Flexible height-adjustable furniture provides advantages beyond accommodating different size people. Research has clearly demonstrated the health benefits of working while standing, as opposed to sitting all day. People who work standing at their custom height adjustable desks are healthier, happier and more productive.

Since 1985, Omnirax has been a leader in the evolution of ergonomic furniture. In our early years of designing and building recording studio furniture, we were challenged to develop solutions that required accommodating an ever-increasing volume of equipment competing for the prized but limited “real estate” located between the knees and the eyes. We pioneered adjustable shelving, moving monitor bridges and more.

We’ve continued to embrace advances in technology as they have become available. With the advent of LCD monitors, we began a relationship with Innovative Office Products and have incorporated their line of adjustable monitor mounts into our ergonomic solutions. More recently we have added Yellowtec’s M!ka line of monitor mounts, microphone booms and accessories to our roster.

We made our first height adjustable desk several years ago using imported mechanisms and found that materials and workmanship was not up to our exacting standards. We are now currently offering mechanisms made by WorkRite Ergonomics. They offer a broad line of robust mechanisms with digital controls. Their sleek lines complement Omnirax’ signature curves, and their precise metalwork and straightforward assembly make them a perfect partner.
